Guess who flipped herself over and then comfortably slept on her belly for part of the night last night?
And, whose tooth erupted yesterday as well?! (And not the front incisors that are usually the first to blossom. No! She's got an incisor on her left side popping out. We think she saw Daphne's tooth bursting out of her mouth and thought that was the way to go).
She is sitting like a champ now as well. What a strong girl we have.
We are in awe of how rapidly our little lady is growing!
Pictures are coming!

So many milestones
We (Abigail and Amanda) were sick the last week and a half and stayed home to take care of each other. But now, we're out and about again, continuing to swim, visiting the Botanic Garden with Grandma Roxy, picking pumpkins at the Queens County Farm Museum Pumpkin Patch with Grandma Eve and Grandpa Ken, and back to singing and dancing in our Music Together class. Oh, and she's now added pears, peas and prunes to her "delicious" list. And now, not only loves taking a bath every night, she's taken to splashing the water.
Another glorious thing Abigail is doing now, is reach for us. All of us, including Daphne. It's her version of a hug. When she is truly pleased and feeling particularly lovey and cuddly, she reaches her hand to touch our face--and it is pure joy to experience.
Tomorrow, our girl will be 6 months. Or as Jonathan has said, "we've known her a half a year now." Time is flying, and we're enjoying every second.
Oh, and, Daphne won Best in Show at the Prospect Place Senior Center dog fashion show. She celebrated by eating the frisbee she got for 1st prize. Abigail was there to cheer her on.

Looking Proud
It seems she's so excited about the new found world that's opened up to her that she doesn't want to nap anymore. Or maybe it'll be for 45 minutes or sometimes, (gasp!), only 20 minutes. Makes for some long days, but, thankfully, still a well rested night!
She can't wait to get back into the pool but unfortunately there have been no classes last week or this one. 'till next week then!
Abigail has been rolling, rolling, rolling and the best part is, she looks proud of herself when she does it. She loves standing, with assistance from us of course, but she looks so pleased with herself. We love that our girl has a great self-esteem!
We were sad to see that our wedding tree in Prospect Park split during the tornado two weeks back. There's still a good portion of the tree still standing and we're hopeful the whole tree doesn't have to come down. Cross your fingers!
This weekend is the Friends of Hudson River Park's Pet Parade! Guess which proud dog will be in it?! Maybe we'll see you there!

Birthday girls
Happy birthday Grandma! Thanks for giving us all a lot of love--and for giving Abigail a bath today! She didn't love it but she sure does smell sweet.
There's lots more pictures to see too!

Peace
Today we think of David Weiss and all those we lost 9 years ago. Let us all come together in peace.

Our blossoming girl
Last weekend, we went to the zoo and saw lots of animals but it was the chickens that actually caught her eye (or was it the fact that Papa was holding her and making chicken sounds that she noticed them at all--who cares, she had a great time and so did we!)
On Mama's birthday, she bought her the most beautiful flowers! We celebrated with friends and family at...Bubby's! And, then we took a walk along the beautiful Brooklyn Bridge Park. It was a very memorable birthday in part because Amanda now knows the true meaning of birthday and in part because she got to spend it with people she loves dearly.
She's grabbing both feet now!! And she's even grabbing her own pulkes (thighs)...there's a lot to grab and more every day!
We visited the Botanic Garden this week. They were watering their grounds and the sprinklers hit their pathway--it was sort of unavoidable. I tried serpentine maneuvers so that Abigail wouldn't get wet and yet, it was bound to happen--she let out a yelp but took it in stride as I patted her dry she giggled with delight.
A tree has been planted in Abigail's name, in Israel, thanks Grandma and Grandpa!
