Our little lady is sitting up! We were propping her up and then the next day she decided she could lean forward and sit on her own. She's still wobbly, but getting stronger everyday.We (Abigail and Amanda) were sick the last week and a half and stayed home to take care of each other. But now, we're out and about again, continuing to swim, visiting the Botanic Garden with Grandma Roxy, picking pumpkins at the Queens County Farm Museum Pumpkin Patch with Grandma Eve and Grandpa Ken, and back to singing and dancing in our Music Together class. Oh, and she's now added pears, peas and prunes to her "delicious" list. And now, not only loves taking a bath every night, she's taken to splashing the water.
Another glorious thing Abigail is doing now, is reach for us. All of us, including Daphne. It's her version of a hug. When she is truly pleased and feeling particularly lovey and cuddly, she reaches her hand to touch our face--and it is pure joy to experience.
Tomorrow, our girl will be 6 months. Or as Jonathan has said, "we've known her a half a year now." Time is flying, and we're enjoying every second.
Oh, and, Daphne won Best in Show at the Prospect Place Senior Center dog fashion show. She celebrated by eating the frisbee she got for 1st prize. Abigail was there to cheer her on.
